Created by hand in Deborah Czeresko’s Brooklyn, New York studio, 'Morphic' consists of a water vessel and companion pipette. Morphic transforms the act of dilution into a ritual of precision and presence. Developed in collaboration with Mortlach by Design, each one-of-a-kind piece explores the relationship between control and flow, form and function — a sculptural expression of the artist’s fascination with transformation, both material and metaphorical. Inspired by Mortlach's six copper stills, this hand-blown glass water vessel gets its bold blue color through copper leaf infusion. Available for purchase exclusively on The Bar.

Materials & Care

Hand Wash Only
Fill the Vessel: Pour fresh, clean water into the glass vessel.
Draw Water into the Pipette: Submerge the pipette tip into the vessel and place your finger over the hole to draw water into the pipette.
Control the Flow: Hold the pipette over your whisky glass. Gently life your finger off the hole to release the water drop by drop.
Taste and Adjust: Add one drop at a time, swirling gently between additions. Taste after each drop until the desired flavor and aroma are revealed.

More About Deborah Czeresko
Deborah Czeresko is a New York City-based artist and designer, best known for their work with glass. Their work references food, art history, gender, and their experiences as a queer artist.
As a glass artist, Czeresko creates work that challenges societal norms and speaks on queer issues. Their work references the traditions of Venetian and modern structural glassblowing while also adding contemporary discussions on feminism and gender politics.
