Engraving a liquor bottle can make for a very personalized and meaningful gift, or it can serve as a unique piece for your collection. Here are some ideas for what to engrave on a liquor bottle, depending on the occasion or purpose:
1. Personalized Messages
Names: Add the recipient’s name, initials, or even a nickname.
"To Sarah, Cheers to the good times!"
"Happy Birthday, John!"
Dates: Mark significant dates such as anniversaries, weddings, or birthdays.
"Since 2023" or "Est. 1995" (for a special vintage or milestone year).
Special Occasions: Commemorate the event or reason for the gift.
"To celebrate your promotion!"
"For our 10th Anniversary"
2. Sentimental or Romantic Messages
Short but meaningful quotes or sayings that reflect your relationship or the occasion. An engraved bottle makes the perfect gift for Valentine's Day for example!
"Together, forever."
"To the best days ahead."
"Forever in my heart."
3. Humorous Engravings
Fun, lighthearted sayings can make the gift memorable.
"Liquid Therapy"
"Not just a drink, but a lifestyle."
"Aged to perfection (just like you)."
"In case of emergency, open immediately."
4. Event-Specific Engravings
For holidays like Christmas or New Year:
"Merry Christmas, 2024"
"New Year, New Cheers!"
7. Logo or Monogram
If it’s a corporate gift or you want a personal touch, you can engrave a logo or a monogram with initials.
A small logo or initials on the bottle’s neck or base.
A family crest or other symbols that have meaning for the person receiving it.
When engraving a liquor bottle using laser engraving, the process creates a highly precise and detailed design with a distinctive visual effect. Laser engraving on glass creates a frosted, matte appearance where the laser removes a small portion of the glass surface. This makes the engraved area appear cloudy or opaque compared to the surrounding clear glass.
The laser is extremely precise, meaning that the engraved text or design will have crisp, clean lines, even for small or intricate details. Since laser engraving removes part of the material, it is a permanent design that will not fade or wear off over time. The engraved area will remain intact and legible for the lifetime of the bottle.
Unlike other methods (like screen printing or labels), laser engraving doesn’t use any ink or paint, so there’s no risk of it peeling or rubbing off. The design is physically etched into the bottle itself.
You can double check the engraved message on the order confirmation email that is sent out immediately upon placing an order. If you made a mistake when typing the engraved message, please email hi@thebar.com immediately to let us know what the intended message was, and we’ll reach out to our licensed retailer network to update them.
Please note that The Bar is not responsible for errors in engraved messages due to misspellings made by our customers when the order was input into our system. All engraving is fulfilled by the ReserveBar licensed retailer network, and their team of engravers are not responsible for proofing the
customer messages. This would slow down the engraving process. The message engraved on the bottle is what is printed on the packing slip. The packing slip is generated when the order is processed.
