The Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co. was started to share barrels of delicious and rare whiskey, hidden away and nearly forgotten in the back of rick houses and distilleries. Stories of these lost whiskeys have become the stuff of legend. Their goal is to bottle these rare, small offerings for the world to try and for you to add to your whiskey collection.
Every Orphan Barrel whiskey is meticulously bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to ensure that these rare whiskeys are treated with the care they deserve – because some of them will only be available once. And once they're gone, they're gone forever.

Bottling rare and lost whiskies

Orphan Barrel's inaugural Straight Bourbon Whiskey Aged 18 Years. A true metamorphic spirit, the label pays homage to the endless fields and rich stories of Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee, where this liquid was carefully distilled, aged, and bottled.
Just as Indiana’s native Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly undergoes metamorphosis, Orphan Barrel'a bourbon-making process is treated with the same patience, craft and care before emerging from its barrels.

Indigo's Hour

Standing tall as Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co.'s first single grain Scotch, Muckety-Muck 24 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky boasts fresh, indulgent flavors. Enriched by 24 years of aging, this rare single grain Scotch from the Port Dundas Distillery owns a bursting aroma of caramel and baked sugar backed by the taste of crisp fruit and light toasted oak.

Marrying the remaining stocks of Barterhouse, Forged Oak and various Rhetoric releases with aged rye and corn whiskies to create a masterful blend that pays homage to the original releases yet possesses a distinct profile all its own, this 14-year-old whiskey is a unique balance of age and flavor accenting the rich, creamy character of the orphaned bourbons with the spiciness of the aged rye whiskey.
