From day one, our mission at Mezcal Unión has been to bring communities together – farmers and mezcaleros across Oaxaca, and mezcal lovers around the world.
We believe that unity is strength and the path to spark change. This is why in 2008 we named our project “Unión” with the purpose of sharing that message with every bottle.

Our Production Model
From Oaxaca to the world
Mezcal Unión was founded with the goal of creating opportunities of socioeconomic development for Indigenous communities while preserving the millennial tradition of mezcal production in Mexico.
Today, Mezcal Unión collaborates with several communities across different villages in Oaxaca, Mexico, empowering maestros mezcaleros and agave farmers to become entrepreneurs of their own businesses.
Mezcal Unión Uno
Mezcal Unión Uno is an un-aged mezcal handcrafted with Espadín and Cirial Agaves, which have been matured for 8 to 14 years.
Tasting notes include fruits, pear and green applewood, smoke and wet soil, and herbal notes. Mezcal Unión Uno is great for full-flavored, refreshing, and citrus cocktails like the margarita and paloma.
Mezcal Unión El Viejo
Mezcal Unión El Viejo is a blend of Espadín & wild Tobalá Agaves, which have been matured for 8 to 14 years.
This Joven (un-aged) mezcal has robust flavor notes that make it ideal to enjoy neat, on the rocks and as the base spirit for spirit-forward cocktails like the Old Fashioned and Negroni.
